![]() Writing application : mkvmerge v7.7.0 ('Six Voices') 64bit built on 23:39:33 Then I would have made sure that every scene I *did* do, had the same quality and attention to detail so it was consistent.Movie name : The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King (2003) Extended Edition 1080p BluRay x264 Dual Audio Hindi English AC3 5.1 - MeGUiL If I had done this, I would have dropped many scenes and not gone halfway into the next book. Trying to make a movie of this length was probably a bad idea without the budget to do so. Some may disagree, but when quality is sacrificed in place of completeness, how can an audience watch the end and actually feel like the movie was worth watching? So, to make a long story a bit shorter, they should have just skipped scenes instead of quality. It really drew you into the film and made you want to stay and watch. The narration of the introduction was quite skillfully done. In the mines, the characters at times, will not get their shading, and it is all too obvious. It was when main-screen characters started missing major details, that I started being disappointed. But that was overlookable as I was not expecting back-characters to be detailed. The beginning (before the mines) was pretty well done for the most part, except maybe the inn scenes. It's a big no-no in production today but back then maybe was acceptable to the audiences of the time? Maybe they were trying to play that off as some sort of special effect, but it didn't feel that way to me. There are other cases where this is evident, but this one stands out the most. The final scenes are even lacking all of their frames and at one point is at 1 frame per second! My guess is that most likely a time/money issue arose toward the end of production. Much of the cell shading is incomplete or is just blurred out as to try to cover up how incomplete it is.īy the time we get to the end, the movie's plot and sequence of events starts falling apart as it becomes evident that someone, somewhere ran out of time and money for production. In my opinion, the beginning section of the movie gets a solid 4 stars.Īs we get to the mines, we start seeing some of that good ol' shortcutting the filmmaker is so well known for. This is one of those movies that gets (if it was possible) multiple ratings throughout the movie. I'll leave out the obvious stuff about missing events and things that are or are not in the book, that is another topic. Just an average person that watched it and also read the books. I am no critic or specialist in the field. Before I start, apologize for the formatting, as I was interrupted during the writing of this, bear with me on the paragraphs!Īs to not to spoil it, I will try to leave out details that might give away the actual content as some may have not yet watched this. ![]()
